“The Queen of Peace” in the Shrine of Our Lady of Skalmierzyce

From 25 September 2020 until 8 October 2020 the adoration for peace in the monstrance from Medjugorie is held in the Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Skalmierzyce near Kalisz.
The Roman-Catholic parish has existed there from 13th century and the devotion to Our Lady dates back to the 15th century.
The miraculous image of Our Lady depicts her with Baby Jesus on her arm.
In 1966 Primate Stefan Wyszyński crowned the image with crowns that were blessed by pope Paul VI.
